Carnival

Huddersfield Carnival – 13th and 14th JULY 2018

The Huddersfield Carnival in its 34th year is a two-day programme of events held annually during the second weekend in July.
An all-year-round programme of participatory cultural activities rooted in the Caribbean tradition, with schools, young people and families continues to feed and sustain Carnival Weekend.
Over 40,000 people attend the Huddersfield Carnival, that said, a cut in Local Authority funding has resulted in a smaller scale event over the last 2 years, Despite this Huddersfield Carnival still represents a significant event in the town’s cultural calendar and provides a substantial boost to the local economy.
We are currently forging ahead with plans for Huddersfield Carnival so keep checking this space for updates. Registering for a stall or becoming a sponsor will help us to firm up our plans for 2018
